Explore the lower country of Grand Canyon in the spring and fall seasons when temperatures are cooler and the desert more inviting. Designed for active participants, this package lets you experience Grand Canyon style hiking and the option of mountain biking while still enjoying gorgeous views and comfortable camps. We'll traverse sculpted slickrock, view volcanic lava fields and cinder cones, and enjoy the variety of plants and animals found only in the western reaches of the Canyon. The wide-open terrain of this country affords hundred-mile vistas and boasts the Canyon's single most breathtaking overlook, Toroweap Point.

Be prepared, however, for the most strenuous portion of the trip; an all-day hike into the Canyon itself. The rewards for our efforts are infinite, as the Canyon seems to reveal its grandeur in proportion to our efforts. Plan on up to an 1800' descent over the course of 3-4 miles, and an equal amount for the trip back out! Hot showers in camp never felt so good, not to mention fine dining and story telling under the stars.
